Hang tight — your page is just around the next corner.
Komüte works because of trust. These guidelines keep every ride safe, respectful, and welcoming — for drivers and passengers alike.
Verified drivers, honest profiles, and zero tolerance for unsafe behaviour.
Treat every traveller with kindness, courtesy, and fairness.
Show up on time, honour your commitments, communicate clearly.
Share seats, cut emissions, and help build a cleaner commute.
Komüte is a free community of everyday drivers and passengers helping each other get where they’re going. We don’t charge fees or commissions — we simply connect people. These guidelines apply to everyone, on every trip. They sit alongside our Terms & Conditions — breaking them can affect your rating or your access to the platform. Following them keeps Komüte a place people are glad to be part of.
Every person on Komüte deserves to feel safe and welcome, regardless of background, identity, or beliefs.
Safety is non-negotiable. These rules protect everyone in the vehicle.
Trust on Komüte depends on people being who they say they are.
A carpool only works when everyone keeps their word.
Komüte is free to use. It’s about sharing the cost of a trip, not making a profit from passengers.
The following behaviour can lead to immediate suspension or a permanent ban:
After every trip, drivers and passengers rate one another. Honest feedback keeps the community accountable.
When a guideline is broken, we respond in proportion to what happened. Serious safety violations skip straight to removal.
For minor or first-time issues, we send a notice explaining what went wrong and what to change.
Repeated or more serious issues lead to a temporary hold on posting trips or booking rides.
Severe violations — violence, fraud, impaired driving — result in a permanent ban from Komüte, and may be reported to authorities.
In an emergency, always contact local emergency services first — 911 in the United States and Canada, or 112 in Europe. In-app reporting is not monitored in real time and is not a substitute for emergency services.
If a trip or a user ever makes you feel unsafe or breaks these guidelines, tell us. Every report is reviewed by our team — and kept confidential.
